Hello 2015

People make New Years resolutions because a new year promises a fresh start. I may not call them resolutions, but I did put some thought into the upcoming year:

  • Fall in love with dance all over again
  • Stop worrying about the future. Whether my hip pain becomes better or worse, worrying won’t solve anything. I need to just focus on one day at a time.
  • Take every opportunity that comes my way. Thankfully I am starting on the right track with this one. On New Years Eve I did my first paid dance work, and tomorrow I am going to an audition I was invited to.
  • Think less and do more. This goes along with the worrying and taking one day at a time.

Really, I just want to get out of my head and breathe a little. I want to be less passive and seize chances as they come. I want to dance without worry of the future, because, “What’s coming will come, and we’ll meet it when it does.”
